Giovanni Caccamo
Giovanni Caccamo, an Italian singer-songwriter discovered by Franco Battiato, won the Sanremo Festival in 2015 in the New Proposals category (in addition to receiving the “Mia Martini” Critics’ Award, the “Emanuele Luzzati” Award, and the “Lucio Dalla” Press Room Award). The following year, he placed third (singing with Deborah Iurato) in the Big Artists category. He has written songs for various artists, worked as a radio host and TV presenter, and is the author of the epistolary novel Dialogo con mia madre (Rizzoli, 2016).
